Is Xoom PayPal the same as PayPal? ›

Xoom is technically a PayPal service, but the two are quite different. PayPal offers a wide range of online payment services, while Xoom is specifically focused on international money transfers.

You can withdraw up to $400.00 USD from your PayPal Balance account from an ATM each day using the PayPal Debit Card. You can also withdraw funds from a bank teller at a participating bank branch or other financial institution.

Set up your Xoom account in minutes, using your PayPal credentials. You can use Xoom to send money to non-PayPal recipients, quickly and securely.

Xoom, which is owned by PayPal, charges a fee of 1% on all transactions up to $999, and $10 on transactions of $1,000 or more. Funding sources include PayPal USD, PayPal balance, bank account, debit card, or credit card (though additional fees may be charged by your card's issuer for the latter two options).

The entire Xoom.com website, even pages viewed without logging in, is served via encrypted, secure pages. The servers we use to store your information are protected both physically and electronically. They reside behind a firewall and are not directly connected to the Internet.

To accept the money, you must open an account with PayPal and confirm your email address. After that, you can receive money when someone pays to your email address or mobile number.

To withdraw money from your PayPal account: Go to Wallet. Click Transfer Money. Click Withdraw from PayPal to your bank account.

How do I collect my money on PayPal? ›

With PayPal, you receive money when someone pays to your email address or mobile number. Once that happens, we'll send you a message letting you know you have money available. To accept the money, you must open a PayPal account, confirm your email address, and confirm a Visa credit card or a US bank account.
