Early Seasons Okay for 12+, Anything after season 10 is 14+
Let's start with this, I'm guessing all the ratings saying 17+ are people who watched the uncut later seasons. If your kid wants to watch this show, just know the first 9-10 seasons aren't any worse than shows like The Office and Friends, after that it gets more on the TV-MA side, and not only are the later seasons more inappropriate but their too political and lower quality, so your kid won't even want to watch them. Now let's talk about the early seasons, the early seasons are still crude (Worse than The Simpsons but far cleaner than South Park). They have TV-14 language (Bitch, ass, damn), mild drinking, slapstick violence and implied sex and sexual dialogue, a few of the jokes are pretty crude but they'll fly over any kids over 12's head. They're nothing worse than The Office or Arrested Development jokes and for that matter come off even less explicit just because it's cartoon. So yeah the first 9 seasons are pretty good and funny and kids will enjoy it.

The new storyline of Family Guy from seasons 1-23
Family Guy is awesome show along side American Dad! and King of The Hill but the show needs Full Crossover episodes I would love crossovers to be added to the Family guy seasons 4-23. Another thing I like about Stewie Griffin and Olivia Fuller being a couple even Brian Griffin and Jillian Russell as a couple. I personally love to add Olivia and Jillian added as 2 main characters to Family Guy along with Stewie, Brian, Lois, Meg, Peter, Chris, Joe, Cleveland and Quagmire from seasons 1-23. Three things I find acceptable are relationships, friendships and family why because they have love. I prefer to have Brian, Jillian, Stewie and Olivia staying as a couple and going on adventures together. Three things I find unacceptable are racism, break ups and gay why because they have hate please delete episodes with gay, race, and break ups they are unnecessary. I would prefer Chris Griffin and Glenn Quagmire dating other people. Meg, Jillian, Olivia and Brian are the only people who understands Stewie more. I would love Meg Griffin to date Steve Smith from American Dad!. secrets must remain secret. Chris is a punching bag to everybody and always left out in the new the storyline I want this happening. Meg Griffin shares bond with Lois I would love see more Meg and Lois episodes. Meg is only one cares about Stewie, Brian, Olivia and Jillian. Meg Griffin less abused and more bullied along with her friends. I would enjoy hearing Peter saying shut up to Chris and farted why because he doesn't matter to family. The only 3 people who matters to Family are Meg, Stewie and Brian even in the new crossover series coming in 2024 called American Guy which involves Peter, Lois, Stewie, Brian, Meg, Chris, Joe, Quagmire, Cleveland, Olivia, Jillian, Stan, Francine, Hayley, Steve, Roger, Klaus and Avery Bullock as the main characters even the minor characters like Patty, Ruth, Esther, Jeff Fischer, Tom Tucker, Joyce Kinney, Jerome Cool J, and new minor characters on the way. Meg is smart girl and sometimes helps Brian and Stewie even their girlfriends. I would to have just one Meg kidnapping episode. I hate John Herbert because he breaks the law all time and he stinks but I want him appearing 3 episodes. I especially hate Neil Goldman because he is an unreliable characters I prefer him to appear in 9 episodes. I enjoy seeing Meg crying I prefer to see more of that. Stewie will be evil until season 10 and the Stewie is good smart baby and spending more time with Olivia. please make the changes happen in the new storyline of Family Guy. Finally I want Family Guy and the full crossover episodes as a feel good show because if that show feels good I feel good. need more, Meg, Lois, Stewie, Brian, Olivia, Jillian, Peter, Quagmire, Cleveland and Joe episodes need less Chris and Bonnie episodes. Principal Shepherd incompetent like Buck Strickland but he will help Brian, Stewie, Lois, Meg, Jillian and Olivia in the new storyline. The new storyline of Family Guy will 22 episodes from seasons 1-23. The new storyline will have more popularity. The new Family Guy storyline will begin on September 18th 2024. I find the show great but too much violence Family Guy needs to have some violence but not too much in other words less. Family Guy needs to have more sex I would love that.

One of my favorite shows, but not meant for young children
Very innapropriate & dark humor not intended for young children to be watching on a daily basis (or at all)It's one of my favorite shows along with American Dad but it's definitely not meant for young kids to be watching. The older/beginning seasons/episodes are full of very dark & innapropriate jokes/humor that young kids dont need to be watching & the same goes for the newer/more recent ones. The difference between the older and newer ones is that the newer ones seem like theyre more raunchy & distasteful. I personally feel like the humor was more tasteful & organic in the beginning seasons. The newer ones are more forced, distasteful & unsettling. It can come off more p*rnographic & 19+ type material. The older ones are more suitable for younger kids than the newer ones if I had to choose between the two. Regardless of older or newer episodes, none of it is intended for young kids.

Ironic to its title, this show isn't family-friendly.
This show is very funny from Seth MacFarlane but it is NOT suitable for any children. There is lots of violence and sex and swearing. The swearing is frequent and contains R-rated cuss words. Several blood too. In addition, nearly all drugs have been used in the show (meth, cigarettes, marijuana, crack, cocaine etc.). One DVD is rated 18 in Ireland. This show is a lot more inappropriate than American Dad, which common sense rated higher!

It is fine for older teens 15+.
Despite Family Guy having a lot of controversial jokes, the majority of the episodes have positive messages within them. Of course it's not for kids, but parents need to understand that young adults (16+, sometimes 15+) should have the right to view this sort of content. Sex is a part of life, and they don't even show the sex within the show. It's just scenes before the sex, post sex, or just the noises. Sometimes during, but you don't see any private parts. It's normally just women in their bras and panties. If you, as a parent, believe that this show isn't appropriate for your 15+ year old, you genuinely need to accept the reality of the 21st Century. Your older teen has a mind of their own and they should know right from wrong. TL;DR: It's definitely appropriate for older teens with a few positive messages here and there, despite questionable topics.

Children Will Understand It
I think the majority of ratings on here are kind of acting like children will do whatever they see on TV. Maybe my kids are just like this but I'm pretty sure kids have a good idea of what's right and what's wrong, with that in mind yes this show does have iffy jokes, there nothing worse than jokes in The Office but their just more frequent. Their are som episodes kids should probably skip and on the Hulu and Live TV versions it has TV-14 language, bitch, damn, ass, hell, etc. (c*nt and sh*t are uncensored on DVD and Netflix edition, and are censored on Hulu and Cable). Their is some cartoon violence but that's been around since Tom and Jerry (A literal kids show) so that's really nothing to worry about unless your kid is very sensitive. Other than that just remember that none of these characters are role models was long as your kid knows that they should be fine.

For certain kids.
If you let your kids watch the Simpsons, bob's burger, ect... than you should be fine with them watching something like this. Although this does include some inappropriate content it's still about a 13 and up mainly due to the fact that teens are more mature than 10 year old's and they know what is appropriate and what isn't.

Hateful and Mean-spirited Garbage cartoon
This show is so mean-spirited. Handicapped individuals of both mental and physical capabilities are made fun. All religions except Islam and atheism is made fun of (yes atheism is a religion too). Racism, sexism, and and discrimination are welcome with no repercussions for the characters doing it. It’s so offensive that I won’t watch it and I love adult animated shows such as South Park and Futurama. It’s that bad that I cannot think of anything redeeming about it. Even episodes that are “watchable” are ruined by cut away jokes and out of place humor such as the Brian and Stewie episodes. There’s suicide jokes. There’s hom*ophobic jokes despite promises that they would stop using them. There’s no depth to any of the characters and they have the same general personality spread out over the cast. Certain characters are picked on for no clear reason other than to be hateful such as Meg. And some characters are portrayed to make certain groups of people look bad such as Mort being the “greedy Jew” stereotype or "retarded" horse and Down syndrome girl jokes. Characters are shallow and cruel towards each other. The show was nearly cancelled on several occasions and it should have stayed that way. It’s a disgusting show that is a waste of time spent on better things. Even during the pandemic you are better off watching something else. There are better shows that do the similar things much better than Family Guy. If it’s for your teen I would recommend Simpson’s, Futurama, or Regular Show (reruns of course). If it’s for you and you are an adult South Park, King of the Hill (reruns), Bojack Horseman (reruns), or Rick and Morty.
