How do you unsuspend Parallels? ›

Click the Parallels icon in the menu bar and choose Actions > Resume. If the Parallels Desktop menu bar is visible at the top of the screen, choose Actions > Resume.

Parallels offers a free trial period for Parallels Access. The trial period lasts for 14 days and cannot be extended.

Initial activation

After you sign in or create an account, you will see the Activate Parallels Toolbox window, where you can also switch to the activation window. Enter your activation key for Parallels Toolbox, or a key for Parallels Desktop copy that includes Parallels Toolbox, and click Activate.

Can you use Parallels without activating Windows? ›

Parallels Desktop for Mac does not include Microsoft® Windows. A license for Parallels Desktop for Mac is the license key that allows you to activate only Parallels Desktop, the license key isn't supposed to activate Windows. If you are upgrading Parallels Desktop

A subscription allows you to upgrade to the latest version at no additional charge as long as the subscription is valid. Double-click the downloaded Parallels Desktop installation file with the . dmg extension to mount it to Finder.
