The song said "Ain't no mountain high enough to keep me from getting to you", but if this mountain in particular wants to keep you from doing something, it will. Ouros is the biggest mountain and the biggest monster in Monster Legends!

Overview
Ouros here is one of the most iconic Legendaries due to being the first proper tank monster. Back in the day he was a terror to behold. His life stat was absolutely ridiculous in the days of 20k-30k life Legendaries, he had some great sustaining moves and was the first monster who could apply Taunt in a regular move! Fast forward to now, and Ouros is very, VERY outdated. While his life is still great, and his power is surprisingly good for a tank, his speed is completely and utterly atrocious, even for tank standards. This means that he will barely get a chance to set up his Taunt. His trait isn't too bad for Legendary standards, as Stun and Freeze immunity stop a good amount of mid-league deniers, though late game ones are more varied. His relics are good for tanks as well. As for his movepool, it's surprisingly good for his age. He has a good amount of tanking abilities, such as Regeneration, Shields and even Double Life, as well as being the first monster with 100% Damage Mirror. However, this all goes down the drain when you realise that he has only 1 Taunt move (not even Mega Taunt), and it only lasts for 1 TURN! The move even has a 2 turn cooldown, meaning Ouros can't even maintain Taunt for the entire battle. He has some surprisingly high power moves, with single 55 and AoE 35, and combined with his not awful power stat he could maybe function as a bulky attacker, but there are many better options that actually have negative effects other than a 50% Stun. To summarise, Ouros is a prized piece of ML history that can be used for nostalgia, but he gets outclassed in both tanking and attacking by many other Legendary monsters.
Pros:
- Good life for a tank
- Decent trait
- Plentiful Self Sustaining effects in Shields, Double Life and Regeneration
- Good Tanking effect in 100% Damage Mirror
- Good relics slots
- Acceptable stamina costs and cooldowns
Cons:
- Horrendous speed
- No negative effects besides Stun
- Taunt only lasts 1 Turn
Recommended Moveset
Did he shrink when he went Cosmic? (Tank/Attacker)
- Manaslu / Lhotse (Manaslu for 45 Special dmg + Self Regeneration, 30s, 2 CD) / (Lhotse for 45 Special dmg + Self 30% Shield, 31s, 2 CD)
- Dhaulagiri (55 Earth dmg, 34s,2 CD) / K2 (AoE 35 Earth dmg, 32s, 3 CD)
- Cho Oyu (Self 100% Damage Mirror, 27s, 2 CD) / Everest (Self Double Life + Taunt (1 Turn), 28s, 2 CD)
- Elbrus (35 Special dmg + 50% Stun, 18s, 0 CD)
Recommended Runes: 2 Life, 1 Strength; 1 Life, 2 Strength; 2 Life, 1 Team Speed
Recommended Relics: Nebotus' Armor, Morgz's Armor; Nabuline's Trap, Mantis Claws Trap
Ouros uses more of his high power and deals more damage than usual on its own. Manaslu is, as always, there to heal. Lhotse gives a shield to take hits better. Last moves are K2 and Elbrus, dealing a nice amount of Earth damage to all enemies and having a 50% chance of Stunning an enemy.
You Shall Not Pass! (Tank)
- Manaslu
- Lhotse
- Cho Oyu
- Everest
Ouros can use his high life and tanks it out. He can heal and apply shield with Manaslu and Lhotse, then he can Taunt apply Damage Mirror and Double Life with Cho Oyu and Everest.
Recommended Runes: 2 Life, 1 Speed; 2 Speed, 1 Life
Recommended Allies
- Monsters with NER, like Ingenica, can clean him from tortures and other effects.
Counters
- Ouros does have a problem with Sudden Death moves. Layth is fantastic at this. Cryotan, Singularis and Alpha Cliviast do it even better. Just make sure his allies are unable to remove the negative effects.
- Dark attackers like Helgudin are great in countering him easily.
- Torture effects, like Nightmares and Ignite, work exceptionally well to bring him down as this will make him lose tons of health per turn.
- Ugluk is amazing at killing Ouros. He has all kind of things that can deal with this tank: multiple torture effects, Life Drain and Taunt Hater.
