What is it?
Contec ProChlor V is a powerful ready-to-use biocide with efficacy against both a wide range of micro-organisms including spores and pin-worm eggs. Using a patented process Contec ProChlor V provides a 95% reduction in pinworm eggs in 10 minutes.
Why is it different?
Hypochlorous acid is an equilibrium product formed when chlorineis dissolved in water. Historically, due to its very short shelf life,
hypochlorous acid could only be created at the point of use through theelectrolysis of a salt solution. Not anymore! Contec ProChlor V is a
patented stabilised version of hypochlorous acid which has a shelflife of 15 months.
Why is it so effective?
It is generally accepted that hypochlorous acid is 100 times moreefficacious than hypochlorite 1. The stabilised pH of Contec ProChlor V ensures that nearly all the available chlorine is in the format ofhypochlorous acid creating a very fast-acting and powerful disinfectant which is uniquely not hazardous to people or equipment. In contrast, the available chlorine in hypochlorite solutions which is at a very high pH is nearly all in the form of hypochlorite ions which have less disinfectant efficacy.
