Each client can select between an Individual Brokerage Account or IRA as their first investment account. At this time, you can only open an IRA as your first M1 investment account on Web. You’ll be able to open additional accounts after you complete opening your first Individual Brokerage Account or IRA.
This can take up to 24 hours to process.

Brokerage accounts on the M1 platform are either fully disclosed to APEX Clearing or cleared through M1 Finance LLC. Please look at your account statement to determine how your account is cleared.
