How to get $500 from Walmart settlement? ›

Walmart has said it will pay eligible shoppers 2% of the total amount they spent on affected products, or a maximum of $500 — as long as they have their receipt or other documentation that shows they bought the products and how much they paid for them.

While a receipt is not required for reimbursem*nt, shoppers that held on to theirs are entitled to disbursem*nts worth 2% of the total cost of their purchases, up to $500, according to the settlement site.

Walmart has denied any wrongdoing — but agreed to pay $45 million to settle the litigation. That means that impacted consumers can submit claims for cash payments.

Claiming Walmart Settlement Cash

You can choose to submit your claim form online or download the claim form to begin the process. Alternatively, you can call the Claims Administrator to receive a paper copy of the form and mail it to the Claims Administrator.

Up to $500 if you have receipts, proof of purchase or other documentation that substantiates each weighted good and/or bagged citrus purchased in person in a Walmart store during the settlement period. You can get back 2 percent of the total spent, up to a maximum of $500.

If you retained your Walmart receipts, you could claim 2% of the total cost of the weighted goods and/or bagged citrus that you purchased, up to a limit of $500. If the amount of claims made exceeds the total settlement amount, your payment could be decreased.

Walmart shoppers who purchased qualifying items between the more than five year period can submit a claim online or through the mail by June 5, 2024 to receive compensation. If you've kept your receipts, you can qualify for up to $500 cash back, and if not, you may still be able to get up to $25.
