FAQs – THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTIONS ANSWERED
The Innsbruck Card can be purchased directly via theonline shop, as well as in Tourist Information centres, at hotel receptions, in larger museums and at Innsbruck Airport (Tabak Trafik).
After payment in the online shop, you will first receive a payment confirmation by e-mail and then your Innsbruck Card as a pdf in a separate message. The pdf can be printed out or used as a mobile card for direct use on your mobile phone.
You need to take your Innsbruck Card to the ticket desk of the attraction you are visiting. On presentation of the Innsbruck Card, you will be given an entry ticket. Direct access with the Innsbruck Card is only possible at the following attractions: the Alpine Zoo, the Innsbrucker Nordkettenbahnen lifts, the Patscherkofelbahn gondola and Swarovski Crystal Worlds.
The Innsbruck Card entitles you to free transport on buses and trams operated by the IVB (Innsbrucker Verkehrsbetriebe) in the centre of Innsbruck, as well as the following bus lines between Innsbruck and Hall in Tirol: 501, 503, 504, 456, 650, 469. The Sightseer hop-on hop-off bus, the Nightliner, the Swarovski Crystal Worlds shuttle and the panoramic route to Igls on tram no. 6 are also included.
The Innsbruck Card is valid as a ticket for public transport. It must be presented if tickets are checked. Please always have your Innsbruck Card to hand when using public transport. On the Sightseer hop-on hop-off bus, the Innsbruck Card is validated directly with the driver.
Yes, the card is valid for one continuous 24, 48 or 72-hour period. The days and/or hours cannot be split.
The Innsbruck Card is activated from the first moment it is used. Cards purchased online must be validated on the specified start date.
DID YOU KNOW?
THE INNSBRUCK CARD REMAINS VALID FOR THE EXACT TIME PERIOD STATED, I.E. 24, 48 OR 72 HOURS. THIS APPLIES REGARDLESS OF WHAT TIME OF DAY THE CARD IS FIRST USED. FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOU USE THE CARD FOR THE FIRST TIME AT NOON, ALL OF THE OPTIONS ARE STILL OPEN TO YOU THE FOLLOWING MORNING.
