What is the Consumer Protection law in Montana? ›

The Montana Consumer Protection Act, also known as the MCPA, is a law that protects consumers from unfair or deceptive business practices . The act is designed to protect consumers from fraud, false advertising, and other deceptive practices, and to ensure that businesses operate in a fair and honest manner.
