Norwegian Airlines Ticket Types

Norwegian Airlines Cabin Baggage
Cabin bag policy depends on the class you are travelling in. If you are travelling on LowFare you are only entitled to one 10kg bag that will fit under your seat, not in the overhead locker. If you are Lowfare+ you are entitled to one overhead cabin bag as well, one small personal item is allowed on board: a small handbag, or a slim laptop case that fits under the seat in front of you. Your ticket type will determine how heavy your hand luggage can be:

Norwegian Airlines Checked Baggage
Your ticket type determines if checked baggage is included, or whether you’ll need to pay extra in order to get a larger baggage allowance. Checked baggage can be altered up until6 hoursbefore flight departure. Each bag must not exceed32kgor be lighter than2kgin weight. Each bag must not exceed250 x 79 x 112 cm(L x H x W) with a maximum circumference of 300cm. Your total amount of checked bags cannot exceed64kg.

Norwegian Airlines Excess Baggage
Excess baggage charges apply to any items over the 2 checked baggage limit, and to items that exceed the weight limit of23kgper kilo, they charge you€12 per extra kilo.
Norwegian Airlines Sports Items
When travelling with Norwegian Airlines, sports equipment (skis and snowboards, golf equipment: max20kg, surfboards and kite equipment, bikes, driving equipment:25kg. For more information,click hereto find out what isallowed to be carried on board.
For all flights (excl. international long haul), it’s priced from €37 – 45(online), and£45 – 65(airport). For international long haul, it’s priced from€55(online) and €65(airport).
Each item must not exceed32kgor be lighter than2kg. Your gear must not exceed250 x 79 x 112 cm(L x H x W) with a maximum circumference of 300cm.
All items are charged per item, each way.
Customs & Entry Requirements
When travelling internationally, it’s a requirement that you pass through customs. However, for domestic travel, or travel within the EU, customs is not usually required. In all cases, you will pass through security checks, to which it’s likely your ID and Documents will be checked, so it’s a good idea to have these documents ready and available throughout your journey.
Entry requirements vary from country to country. It’s very important that you research the exact requirements specific to you before you travel, as certain countries may require a visa, proof of insurance, and possibly bank statements. Your passport must also be valid for the full duration of your stay, with some countries requiring at least 6 months validity. However, all requirements will differ and are subject to your specific circ*mstances, such as duration of stay, purpose of travel, and the regulations that the country has set.

Connecting Flights
Connecting flights refer to you taking multiple flights in order to reach your destination. This results in having a longer journey time, however, it’s quite common when direct services are not available.
If you have a connecting flight booked on the same ticket, typically your baggage will be checked through to your final destination. However, with potential flight delays, busy airports, and tight connections, you might make the connection, but often your baggage does not. This is why more and more travellers are travelling light by shipping their luggage ahead.
Many low-cost airlines don't offer connecting flights. This means it's your responsibility to manage your onward connections, and collect your baggage after each flight.
