NFTs or non-fungible tokens are unique cryptographic tokens that exist on a blockchain that cannot be replicated. NFTs can represent anything digital, such as drawings, music, video, and other forms of art.
NFT stands for non-fungible token. To put it simply, “non-fungible” means not replaceable. “Non-fungible” refers to the concept that these digital assets cannot be exchanged or replaced for an identical item. This is because each NFT has its own value and is unique. In contrast, fungible assets such as fiat money or cryptocurrencies can be swapped. A “token,” in this case, refers to a digital representation of an asset. In the case of NFTs, the token indicates ownership of a specific digital item. Using these two concepts, “non-fungible token” emphasizes the uniqueness and one-of-a-kindness of these digital assets.
An NFT wallet enables you to store, collect and manage NFTS in addition to your digital assets, which are stored on the blockchain.
Cryptocurrencies are digital tokens that use cryptography to secure transactions and serve as a digital representation of value which can be exchanged. NFTs each unique are often digital forms of art, such as drawing, music, or video files. Both are cryptographically protected and stored on the blockchain. Luckily, the Web3-ready Zengo wallet supports the storage and management of both.
