Can students access NSLDS? ›

Students can access loan and grant information by logging into StudentAid.gov and viewing their Dashboard. For questions related to NSLDS functions such as student eligibility, overpayments, loan history, and enrollment reporting, contact the NSLDS Customer Support Center at 1-800-999-8219.

The following current types of loans are listed in NSLDS: Direct Subsidized Loans and Direct Unsubsidized Loans. Direct PLUS Loans (for parents or for graduate/professional students) Direct Consolidation Loans.

If you need to download an NSLDS report, log in to your account on studentaid.gov using your FSA ID and password. Once you're in your account, hover over your name on the top right of the screen and select "My Aid." From there, you can select "Download My Aid Data." Your data will be downloaded as a . txt file.

Schools are required to report enrollment data to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) at least every 60 days.

The $138,500 combined subsidized/unsubsidized aggregate loan limit for graduate and professional students includes loans received for undergraduate study. The $65,500 subsidized aggregate loan limit for graduate and professional students includes subsidized loans received for prior undergraduate study.

All borrowers on SAVE receive forgiveness after 20 or 25 years, depending on whether they have loans for graduate school. The benefit is based upon the original principal balance of all Federal loans borrowed to attend school, not what a borrower currently owes or the amount of an individual loan.

The transfer monitoring hold will be placed on your financial aid record and will expire in 7 days. This hold will be placed prior to the beginning of each semester so that we can upload the most current federal grant and loan information from the National Student Loan Database System (NSLDS).

The first step is logging into your StudentAid.gov account with your email, phone or FSA ID username and password. From there, you can check your balances and review what companies are servicing your loans.

Non-school food: Don't use your loan for take-out pizza and beer for your roomies or taking your family out to dinner. Vacations: Sure, spring break travel is fun, but it's not necessary for your education. Debt: Don't use your loan to pay off credit cards, a car note, or other debt.

You can access your information online at www.nslds.ed.gov. You will need to log in with your Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID. NSLDS also provides information about your loan servicer.

Student loans can come from the federal government, from private sources such as a bank or financial institution, or from other organizations. Federal student loans usually have more benefits than private loans.
