Moonlight Scimitars are sharp Weapons with Gerudo-style engravings that were previously used for ceremonial purposes.[1] These Scimitar belong to the Gerudo Gear equipment archetype, which consists of Weapons created by the Gerudo.[3] They can be found throughout the Gerudo Desert and Gerudo Highlands, particularly within and around Gerudo Town.
The following amiibos have a chance to spawn a Treasure Chest containing a Moonlight Scimitar when they are scanned with the amiibo Rune:
- Breath of the Wild Series Link (Rider) amiibo
- Breath of the Wild Series Urbosa amiibo
As metallic Weapons, Moonlight Scimitars will attract Lightning when equipped during a Thunderstorm and conduct Electricity. They can also be picked up using the Magnesis Rune on the Sheikah Slate. They sink when dropped in Water, but they do not burn when exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate.
