Here are some insanely simple tips for Airbnb hosts that I have used to propel my side income business to that of a Super Host.

Being an Airbnb Host has proven to be a nice side hustle that has generated a steady stream of income over the past few years.
Those additional Airbnb monies have allowed me to live practically rent-free and aided in my being able to quit my job and retire early.
I’ve found that the little niceties are what guests remember and appreciate.
Those fine details, in turn, translate to guests leaving positive star reviews that help skyrocket my ratings.
Those ratings equate to increased bookings and more earning potential.
I also use Airbnb when I travel.
As a guest, I enjoy seeing the set up of other hosts, as I’m always on the lookout for ideas to help out my own Airbnb business.
Here are 11 ideas to consider using in your Airbnb business and tips for those that are considering starting up an Airbnb business.
(1) Provide a mini welcome basket of goodies.
In my guest welcome basket, I include bottles of water, some type of snacks, such as chocolates, potato chips, and often fruit.
Many of my guests arrive after being on really long international flights and may not arrive until late at night.
A small welcome basket often helps to stave off hunger until the following day and shows goodwill as a host.
(2) Set up a coffee station.
In my guest room, I have a small coffee maker that brews up to four cups of coffee at once.
My coffee station includes instant coffee, creamer, regular sugar, and Stevia sweetener. For those that may prefer tea, I also have at least 2 varieties of teas.
(3) A Smart TV for guests.
Most TV’s on the market today are Smart TV’s…meaning they can connect to the internet, come with HD resolution, provide streaming video and other features.
My Airbnb provides guests with access to a Netflix login and password, HULU, and a voice-activated Amazon Firestick.
(4) Provide a portable heater.
Even in Sunny Los Angeles, we have our share of chilly nights.
For nights that guests feel they need just a little extra dose of heat, I provide a small ceramic portable space heater and extra blankets.
The heater has a built-in safety feature that automatically shuts the unit off if it’s tilted over.
If you want to get really nice and fancy for your guests, consider offering cozy electric throw blankets.

(5) Provide extra amenities based on your locale.
Often times my guest will tell me the reason they’ve chosen to visit Los Angeles is because of our sunny and
My guests often make the beach their first stop.
Therefore, I provide a beach bag with towels and sunscreen tucked inside.
I also have portable beach chairs and a beach umbrella if guests would like to haul them to the beach.
(6) Provide easy access to extra sheets and pillows.
Having extra pillows and sheets in the room is one less thing your guests will have to worry about requesting from you. Extra towels are also an added plus.
(7) Supply shampoo, conditioner, soap, and a hairdryer.
I find I save on shampoo and conditioner by purchasing the bulk size of Pantene products from Costco or on Amazon.
Your guest will appreciate your having a hairdryer on hand as it will be one less bulk item they will have to pack.
The small hotel size soaps can also be purchased on Amazon at a good price.
(8) Easy access to wifi directions.
I have a cute Wifi plaque on the wall (also listed in my Airbnb online guest instructions) that has the wifi name and password.
(9) Lockbox for keys.
I only supply one set of keys. Therefore, I provide a lockbox in case there are 2 visitors traveling together and they each want to go out at different times.
Having a lockbox installed was one of the best host ideas I’ve implemented in my Airbnb business.
I also use my lockbox to leave keys for the guests when I will not be home during the time they arrive.
I merely change the code to the last four digits of their telephone number – something that’s easy for them to remember.
I particularly like the wall-mounted lockboxes that have a lit keyboard when you open the cover.
This is a small, but convenient feature appreciated by the guest, particularly if they arrive at night and are doing a self-check-in.
(10) Picture frame your check-in/check-out time.
Since I now have the times posted in a small picture frame on the desk in the guest room, it hasn’t been a problem with guests adhering to the check-in/check-out times.

Having these items in the room are a nice convenience for your guests: Notepad, pencils, ink pens, city maps, and guide books of your city and the surrounding areas.
I also like to have the latest Airbnb magazine on hand.
