Once you verify your identity, you will have access to your Google Pay balance.
If you haven’t verified your identity, you can still:
- Receive money from someone on Google Pay
- Receive cash back rewards as money in Google Pay
- Transfer out money in Google Pay to your bank account or debit card
- Send money to other users with a bank account or debit card
Once you verify your identity and have access to Google Pay balance, you are able to take advantage of extra features:
- Use Google Pay balance to send money to friends and family.
- Use your money in Google Pay to make purchases for Google products such as purchases on Play and YouTube.
- Add money to your Google Pay balance that can be used for future purchases or sends.
- Unlock higher transaction limits.
- Set up your Google Pay balance to make contactless payments in stores or online.

- Open the Google Pay app
. - On the top right of your home screen, select your profile.
- The money you have in Google Pay is displayed below your profile picture.

- On the top right of your home screen, select your profile.
- Tap on Money in Google Pay or Google Pay balance.
- On the top right, tapMore .
- TapAccount Statements.
- Selectthe statement you want to download.
- To view more statements, click Last three months and choose the time period from the menu.
- Tap Download.

- If you're not already signed in to your account, you’ll be asked to sign in.
- At the bottom, tap Insights.
- Tap Money in Google Pay.

Common questions about balances in Google Pay
Why do I get Google Pay or Google Pay balance emails?
If you have a Google Pay balance, you get notification emails on your Google Pay balance activity. To help you check and recognize the transactions you’ve made with your Google Pay balance, we send notification emails.
When money is sent or received with Google Pay, most Google Pay balance notifications are automatically created.
How often you receive emails depends on how often you use Google Pay. If you rarely use Google Pay, you get these emails once every month or every 3 months.
Why do I get emails even if I don’t have a balance?
If you have a debit card or bank account information saved to your Google Account you can use Google Pay to send money to friends or family, and might receive emails.
We’re also required to send an annual notice to all eligible users to help you understand our customer service and error resolution policy.
Why can’t I unsubscribe from notification emails?
You can't unsubscribe because we send notification emails to you for certain legal reasons.
How do I report a transaction I didn’t make?
If you notice unauthorized payments sent from your money in Google Pay to someone else, contact us.
How do I find a reward issued by Google Pay?

If you had a debit card or bank account information saved to your Google Account at any point this year, you were eligible to sendmoney to friends or family in the Google Pay app. If you still have the payment method attached to your account, you should be able to see it at pay.google.com underPayment methods.
