McGill University
McGill University is one of the most storied and prestigious universities in Canada. Consistently at the top of global university rankings, it should come as no surprise that McGill students consistently break into investment banking.
McGill is one of the only Canadian schools (alongside Ivey and Queen's) that consistently places hires into the top banks in the U.S. McGill ranks #55 on our target school list, earning it a designation as a lower semi-target school.
McGill is home to the Desautels Faculty of Management, which is one of Canada's top business schools for both undergraduates and MBAs.
Additionally, McGill offers a BCom in Honours Investment Management, a limited enrolment program for undergraduates with a strong track record of finance placement.
We note that McGill has a very high Elite Firms % of 56%, indicating that the McGill students who break into investment banking often go to the very best firms (notably Evercore and J.P. Morgan). Similarly, McGill has a very high Elite Boutique %, which results from sending 24% of hires to Evercore.
