Gold is an important currency in Lost Ark and it’s hard to make enough gold. Gladly there are a few activities that will reward you with guaranteed gold every week – without depending on any outside factors like playing the auction house and watching market trends. This makes these weekly activities an important factor in your overall strategy for gold-making in Lost Ark.

1. Farm Gold With Abyssal Dungeons
A very profitable and reliable method to make gold in Lost Ark is to run Abyssal Dungeons.
There are a few conditions you should be aware of:
- Each Abyssal Dungeon has a minimum item level to be able to enter the instance.
- Each Abyssal Dungeon has a maximum item level. If you’re above this item level you can not earn any rewards anymore.
- Each character can earn the rewards only one time per Abyssal Dungeon per week.
- Your roster can earn the rewards only up to 6 times.
If you want to optimize your gold gain, you want to have 6 characters doing Abyssal Dungeons every week. You have these two item level thresholds to make the most gold:
- 1370: Do Oreha’s Well and Oreha Preveza on Hard for 2,100 gold per week. You are locked out of every other Abyssal Dungeon.
- 1340: Do Oreha’s Well and Oreha Preveza on Normal for 1,500 gold per week. You could do the three Tier 2 dungeons (Gate of Paradise) for 100 each to increase your income per character to 1,800 gold.
Pushing the item level of an Alt from 1340 to 1370 can be quite expensive. Therefore 1340 can be a very solid item level to park some of your Alts at.
Abyssal Dungeons Gold Rewards
If you want to do your own calculation you can check the gold rewards per Abyssal Dungeon in this table:
Tier | Dungeons | Gold per Dungeon | Min Ilvl | Max Ilvl | Gold per Character |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Ancient Everia | 2 | 80 Gold | 340 | 840 | 160 Gold |
Phantom Palace | 2 | 80 Gold | 460 | 960 | 160 Gold |
Ark of Arrogance | 2 | 100 Gold | 840 | 1325 | 200 Gold |
Gate of Paradise | 3 | 100 Gold | 960 | 1370 | 300 Gold |
Oreha’s Well Normal | 1 | 600 Gold | 1325 | 1415 | |
Oreha Preveza Normal | 1 | 900 Gold | 1340 | 1415 | 1,500 Gold for both |
Oreha’s Well Hard | 1 | 900 Gold | 1370 | 1415 | |
Oreha Preveza Hard | 1 | 1,200 Gold | 1370 | 1415 | 2,100 Gold for both |
Important: A character can run the T3 Abyssal Dungeons (Oreha) only on Hard or Normal. They share their lockout. This means 2,100 gold is the maximum amount of gold a character can earn per week.
For your roster this means:
6 characters * 2,100 gold = 12,600 Gold per week is the maximum amount of gold you can earn through Abyssal Dungeons.
Additionally, you can earn gold by completing Argos. The gold reward per phase stacks, but you have to complete all phases in one run. If you stop after e.g. P1 and take the reward, you can’t enter again for this week.
Phase | Gold for Phase | Total Gold per Char | 6 Character Limit |
---|---|---|---|
Phase 1 (1370) | 800 Gold | 800 Gold | 4,800 Gold |
Phase 2 (1385) | 900 Gold | 1,700 Gold | 10,200 Gold |
Phase 3 (1400) | 1,000 Gold | 2,700 Gold | 16,200 Gold |
If you do the most recent content you can get accessories that are in high demand. Check the auction house and try to sell accessories with good combat stats and engravings, before you dismantle them. This can be a very good income stream if you run it on multiple characters.
With 1415 you’ll unlock the first Legion Raid Valtan if it’s released in approx. May. Then your weeklies will be Argos and Valtan for gold. Oreha will not give you any gold anymore, once you’ve reached 1415.
2. Make Gold with Una’s Tasks
The completion of Una’s Tasks gives you points. Every time you reach a milestone with your points (25, 35, 45, 55, and 70) you’ll unlock Una’s Tokens. You should always try to reach a maximum of 70 points every week.
The amount of Una’s Tokens you’ll get per milestone depends on the highest character in your roster. You’ll need to have one character with item level 1,302 or above to get the highest rewards.
Points | Tier 1 | Tier 2 | Tier 3 |
---|---|---|---|
25 | 27 | 70 | 155 |
35 | 27 | 70 | 155 |
45 | 36 | 95 | 210 |
55 | 36 | 95 | 210 |
70 | 54 | 145 | 310 |
Weekly Total | 180 | 475 | 1,040 |
You can trade your Una’s Tokens at a Gold Shop vendor. You should go for the Small Safe or Large Gold Chest.
- The Small Safe drops the most gold per Una’s Token.
- The Large Gold Chest drops less gold per token but has a low chance for a Giant Gold Bar (10,000 gold).
The exact probabilities are unknown. So it’s hard to say what is better in the long run.
Without any lucky drop, you’ll still make around 1,200 gold per 500 Una’s Tokens for the Large Gold Chest. With at least one Tier 3 character you’ll make more than 2,500 gold each week on average.
How to get the 70 points fast if you don’t play a lot? A weekly quest gives 12 points. Two characters can reach 70 points just with their 3 weekly tasks. Even faster are 3 characters that do 2 weeklies each, because you can pick the fastest two weeklies (e.g. one for 6 Chaosdungeons and one for 6 Guardian Raids).
3. Utilize Mari’s Secret Shop
Some players believe Mari’s Secret Shop is only for people that spend real money. That’s not true. In fact, you can earn gold as a F2P player by utilizing Mari’s Secret Shop. The formula is easy:
- Sell your unbound materials (especially Leapstones) for gold.
- Buy crystals with a share of that gold.
- Buy your materials with crystals from Mari’s Shop back.
- Profit. Done correctly you now have the same materials, more gold, and more crystals.
This worked fantastic at release. People made thousands of gold by not using their unbound materials and spend only a tiny amount of that to buy back the mats from Mari’s. Today it has become more complicated.
Use our Mari’s Secret Shop Calculator to know exactly what is still worth in Mari’s Shop.
4. Endless Chaos Dungeons
If you have at least one character in Tier 3 you can run Chaos Dungeons (after depleting your Aura of Resonance) for Shard of Purification‘s. With Shard of Purification‘s, you can buy tradeable materials and sell them in the auction house.
Use our Endless Chaos Dungeon Calculator to calculate what mats are worth buying first.
5. Use Your Lifeskill Energy
This is a whole topic on its own. We will expand on this in the future but TL;DR will be:
Don’t let your work energy go to waste.
Try to use it to farm things in Lost Ark. Some things, like fish, saw a rise in price during March. People will need more consumables for harder content and with time there will be more gold available. This will increase the price of a few items.
Since Fishing is easily done by bots most players consider Excavating the most profitable profession in Lost Ark.
6. Sell Or Buy Carry Runs
If you overgear content and are comfortable with the mechanics you can start selling runs.
The participants can afk while you’ll do the boss alone. This will be more popular for Legion Raids in the future but you can already sell runs for current content. People buy carry runs for their Alts and share some of the gold rewards they receive.
You can also buy carry runs to earn gold. If you do not have enough time to run e.g. Argos on all of your characters in any given week, you could buy carry runs when they become more popular. You pay with a share of the money you’ll receive. So you’ll still earn a little bit of gold (depending on the share you have to pay) and you get the chance on accessories or other valuable items to sell.
