I have the same issue as the post below- it was marked closed without a solution - does anyone have additional info about this?
Personal Capital technical support has not been able to provide a solution, nor has Quicken Support. Personal Capital is not a Quicken-supported financial institution. However, as noted in a previous question, Personal Capital Cash accounts are actually held by UMB Bank. I have tried all of the supported UMB connections in Quicken with no success...I do not have a UMB-specific login; I only have my Personal Capital login and that doesn't seem to work. I called UMB Bank but they just transferred me to Personal Capital, so I've come full circle. Hoping someone else has had more success than me.

Regarding Personal Capital: They do not support Quicken so you cannot download your financial data from there from within Quicken. If you want them to support Quicken you should contact them and request that they add support for Quicken. If they get enough customer requests then maybe at some time they will be able to put together the business case to contract with Intuit to get added to the FIDIR (Financial Institutions Directory) list. They must be added to the list in order for Quicken to work with them and Personal Capital is the one who must initiate that process with Intuit.
There are actually quite a few threads in this Community about how Personal Capital does not support Quicken so there is no way to download into Quicken from there using One Step Update or Update Now or manually downloading and importing a QFX file. You can do a search in this Community to see what others have said.
A couple of ideas you might want to look into:
- Since Personal Capital is now owned by Empower, maybe your financial data can be downloaded from Empower? Note: You would need to have an online account with Empower in order to do that. And if Empower is the vehicle to be used for this, then I would think someone at Personal Capital or Empower would be able to tell you that.
- If Personal Capital does allow for downloads in QIF, OFX, Excel and/or CSV format files, then you might want to look into ImportQIF which is freeware that can sometimes convert data from these types of files into a QIF format that can then be imported into Quicken. Regarding UMB Bank: You will not be able to download anything from UMB Bank unless you have an online account relationship with them for your Personal Capital account. No way around that.
