Halo Infinite Postcredits Scene Differences
After the credits roll, there's one more cutscene to take in. It's shown to us from the perspective of an unknown character, who gets to a terminal and unlocks a door that leads to a library filled with what appear to be Forerunner artifacts. After the door opens, the orange symbols on the floating tablets begin to glow. The character who opened the terminal is revealed to be Atriox, the Brute who defeated Master Chief at the very start of the game.
The main difference In Halo Infinite's Legendary Ending is that you get a bit more context to what's happening. There is a voiceover playing, between two characters, one of whom is referred to as the Grand Edict, who is most likely Atriox based on the context. The second character, an AI, seems unsure of what the Grand Edict is about to do, but it does not sway the Grand Edict.
A group called the Criterion is also mentioned, although its unknown who that group is at this time. The scene ends with Atriox saying "Offensive Bias" has been deployed. Offensive Bias is an AI within the Halo universe who has been mentioned in multiple Halo games. It's likely we'll see Offensive Bias, the Criterion, Atriox, and the Endless in whatever follows up Halo Infinite, but for now, there's plenty to unpack in this Legendary ending., which you can watch for yourself below.
