Hey guys, I recently watched a video on YouTube about how to get "flawless skin" and the girl first put on a layer of liquid foundation (not a super heavy one though), then concealer, then a layer of powder foundation. Do any of you guys do that? Or do you use liquid foundation and then put like a mineral powder foundation on top? I've never done that, am I missingout?
I sometimes use foundation and a mineral powder foundation over that to set it. I just use very little just so my makeup doesn't look too heavy. I think if you want more coverage on top of your liquid foundation, you can use some sort of powder foundation to set it. But if you're going light and fresh use a regular pressed or loose powderinstead.
if you were to do what the girl in the youtube video did, it does give you a flawless face. if your looking for extra coverage i would suggest to do the liquid, concealer, and then powder on top. i tend to only do that when im going on out with friends, or when i feel like i need that extra coverage. other then that, im sure your normal face routine is perfectly fine! summer is here now and you dont want to have to much face products on. hopefully this helps:)
Howdy. I've always done the primer, concealer, foundation, powder routine since I started make up. Throughout the years I've found it's darn heavy and darn heavier with the wrong color and heaviest when it's summer! I am currently a Mac user (ha) and I feel like the original cake face.
Options *if you feel like layering foundations is just too heavy:
1.) Primer - Powder finish
2.) Liquid to Powder Foundation
3.) Loose translucent finishing powder! (after liquid foundation)
----Love love love love love - Everyone should try this at least once!

If I'm not getting the desired coverage I want from my foundation, then I do like to use a powder foundation on top. I love the finish it gives - flawless. If it's too heavy, just use a facial mistafterwards.
I'm not going to lie. I do that everyday. But a foundation powder to set my foundation is a must for me. I have oily skin, and I like my face looking matte. Plus, I have acne scars that I want to cover, so I can't seem to be satisfied with a translucent settingpowder.
But I only put on a very small amount of concealer to cover up my under eye circles.
If it's a night out to a club or a party, I'll use medium to full coverage foundation.
But if it's just a school day, I use a tinted moisturizer. That way, it doesn't feel too heavy.

I use exactly what you said, (liquid foundation, concealer and then a powder foundation) I know it sounds like a lot, but it relly depends on how thick of a layer youdo.
Layering is actually pretty effective for the 'flawless' look and if you're applying it correctly it's not too heavy. Also consider the fact; most people set their foundation with fluffy powder brushes which tends to negate the extra coverage of a heavier coverage powderfoundation.
