Is the iPad Air 1 outdated? ›

In June 2019, Apple announced that it would drop support for the iPad Air with the release of iPadOS 13 in September 2019. The iPad Air is supported to iOS 12, with the latest 12.5. 7 update released on January 23, 2023.
