Recently,Intuitdiscovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation,Intuitdetermined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information by logging in to individuals’ TurboTax accounts. On April 17, 2024,Intuitbegan notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Address
- Driver’s license number
- Financial information (e.g., salary and deductions)
- Tax return information
