If you don' t answer buyers questions don't expect a sale (2024)

eBay sometimes hides our descriptions under a blue button (very confusing and annoying) and that's not the buyer's fault.

I understand that, and never block buyers for asking questions that show that they didn't read the description. I figure they might not have seen the description.

What will cause me to block a buyer who asks a question is:

1. if I look at their feedback left for others and see a lot of red and grey (yes I look first)

2. if their message contains a criticism of other sellers somewhere in it like "I've had nothing but headaches from the last 3 sellers I dealt with...."

3. if their message complains about my shipping price

4. if they ask if they can pay in 2 weeks when they get paid

5. if they ask for the item for free because (hard luck story follows)

6. if they tell me that they've bought 4 items just like this one but that though the seller said they were SKY BLUE they were not the right shade and it really, really matters because there's a matching item it's going to be paired with.

7. if they ask me what season something is from and when I say that I don't know criticize me, call me stupid, or should on me. (by season I don't mean winter or spring, I mean for example SUMMER 2015 or Season 42)

8 if they tell me that as a stay-at-home mom who hasn't bought new clothes except for sweats and t-shirts in the last 7 years, they're returning to the workforce and trying to pull together a wardrobe and something has happened to the way things are sized - the last 2 bras she bought on eBay were her size - 34B but were way too small. Do I guarantee that my 34B bra is REALLY 34B?

Those are all big red flags and I BBL
