Why am I not receiving my verification email from Apple? ›

Make sure you're checking the correct email account

If you're looking for a verification email, you can sign in to your Apple ID account page and review all the email addresses you have on file, including the one that you're trying to verify.

Select Didn't Get a Code? on the sign in screen. Choose to have the code sent to your trusted phone number. You'll get a text message or phone call from Apple with your verification code. This text message might include an additional domain validation line.

Go to Apple's iForgot page and enter your Apple ID. From there, choose the Security Questions option and answer the questions. If you are correct, you should be able to reset the password. If not, you may have to contact Apple Support or go into an Apple Store.

A "Verification Failed" message is used in various scenarios which could be either a communication issue, or a problem with your account or a payment method. Use the document Add a payment method to your Apple ID - Apple Support to review your payment methods such as credit or debit cards.

Check your Junk Email folder: Sometimes, verification codes can end up in the Junk Email folder. Please check your Junk Email folder to see if the verification code is there. 2. Add the sender to your Safe Senders list: Sometimes, verification codes can be blocked by your email provider's spam filter.

Select Personal Information. Enter your additional email address. Make sure that you're not already using it as an Apple ID. We'll send a verification to that address.

If you don't know your Apple ID, try your email address or phone number. In addition to your Apple ID, you can sign in and reset your password with other email addresses or phone numbers on file in your Apple ID account.

How long does Apple Account recovery take? ›

Account recovery is a two phase process once started. Phase 1 is the evaluation period, usually 24-72 hours but can be longer or shorter.

If you don't have a trusted device, you can still change your Apple Account primary email address on the web. Go to account.apple.com and sign in to your Apple Account. Go to Sign-In and Security, then choose Email & Phone Numbers.

Check Mail Fetch and Notification settings

To adjust these settings: Go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts. Tap Fetch New Data. Choose a setting — like Automatically or Manually — or choose a schedule for how often the Mail app fetches data.

To resend the verification email, sign in to your Apple ID account page. Click Resend next to the email address that you want to verify, and we'll send an email to that address.

The 'unable to verify account name or password' error in Apple Mail means that it can't connect to your email provider's server to send or receive emails. It could be a problem with the server, but it is more likely to be an issue with Mail or your keychain.

Make sure that you're signed in to your device with your Apple ID. Open Settings (or System Settings on Mac) and check that you see your name. Make sure that you update your device to the latest operating system.
