Decide how many extra guests you can accommodate

You can add a fee for each guest you're willing to host beyond your normal limit. So, if the number of guests you've set in your Listings is 4, you can charge extra for the 5th and 6th guests and so on up to your comfort level.

The additional fees you can collect

Cleaning fee: Cover cleanup costs after guests check out. Pet fee: Make it easy to welcome pets by covering the cost of expected cleaning. Remember, service animals always stay for free. Extra guest fee: Add a fee for each guest you're willing to accommodate beyond your normal limit.

Lots of availability

If there are lots of Airbnb listings still available in the area, hosts may be willing to give you a discount. After all, a host may be happy to get a reduced rate rather than having the listing sit unused.

The decision to require a deposit is up to each host. Some ask for it, while others don't. When you book a place, you're not immediately charged the deposit. Instead, Airbnb holds your payment info and, if the host files a valid damage claim after your stay, they'll charge you accordingly.

If you want to bring extra guests

Some Hosts may have an extra guest fee and require that you submit a trip change request to add any additional guests to your reservation. Other Hosts might have a strict limit on the capacity for their home and can't accommodate any more people.

It's up to you, as the Host, to decide if you can accommodate any extra people. If guests show up with extra people, you have the right to turn them away.

Money-related issues

You can use our Resolution Center within 60 days of your reservation's checkout date to request or send money for things related to your Airbnb trip. It helps to have any photos or other relevant evidence ready when you submit a Resolution Center request.

You may be asked to pay

You'll be given the opportunity to voluntarily submit a timely payment or an appeal. If you don't submit a timely payment or appeal, or your appeal is unsuccessful, your payment method will be charged. (This doesn't apply to stays in China, Japan, or India.)

If a Host or guest requests money for extra services or a refund, you'll find their request in your email associated with your Airbnb account or in the Resolution Center.
