How can I find student quiz logs in Canvas?
As an instructor in Canvas, you can find a detailed breakdown of quiz taking activity for each student, including how long they took to take a quiz and how long they spent on each answer. You can also see if a student exited a test and returned later. Here are the steps to find the quiz logs. Note that quiz logs are not intended by Canvas to be a tool for academic integrity.
- In the course navigation, click the Quizzes link.
- Click the name of the quiz.
- Click the three vertical dots icon at the top of the quiz and then click Show Student Quiz Results.
- Click the name of the student whose results you want to see.
- At the top of the results page you will see a link saying View Log. Click that link.
- View the session information and the action log for the quiz. The session information shows the start date and time for the attempt. The action log for the specified attempt will display a status and a time stamp for each quiz action.
