If you want to use Cash App to purchase and sell Bitcoin, you'll need to verify your identity first. Once approved, you'll have new limits on your account balance, card opportunities, and more. As long as you provide all the information asked, it should be approved quickly. Here's how to verify Bitcoin on Cash App using your iPhone, iPad, or Android device.

- Tap your Profile.
- Tap Enable Bitcoin.
- Tap Bitcoin Verification.
- Enter your personal information.
- Wait for verification up to 48 hours.

Tap Enable Withdrawals and Deposits. The text may vary, but you'll be asked to verify your information.

Enter your personal information. Cash App will ask for your legal name, date of birth, and the last 4 digits of your social security number (SSN).
- In some cases, Cash App will ask for your full SSN, address, government-issued photo ID, and/or proof of income.
- Cash App states that all submitted information is encrypted and securely sent to their servers.

Wait for verification. This process can take minutes to hours, though it could be longer if you had to supply more information.
- Once you've been verified, you'll receive a notification in Cash App.

Verified accounts have less limitations. You must have a verified account to initially purchase Bitcoin. Verified accounts also have an unlimited cash balance limit, Cash App Cards, and the ability to sponsor someone aged 13-17.
- When your account is unverified, you can only send and receive up to $1,000 every 30-day period., with a total account limit of $1,500. You also have a balance limit of $1,000.[1]
- While you may be able to use Cash App with an unverified account for some time, your account will eventually be flagged and you'll need to officially verify.
