Google Pay, developed by Google is a user-friendly online payment system used by millions of people worldwide. The digital payment app is officially known as a one-stop-shop. Users need to simply link their bank accounts to the app to start transition via UPI. Once linked you can easily send or receive money from anyone with zero fees. The app even redeems your loyalty points after every transaction and if you win, the rewards go straight into your bank account.

However, any amount you pay through Google pay, no matter how small or big will be reflected in your passbook. The UPI transaction has a unique transaction number and will be shown on your passbook irrespective of the bank.
The transaction history is available in the GPay app but you can also check the status of the transaction using the UPI ID and can raise a complaint if there is any discrepancy.
But to verify Google pay transaction on your bank statement you first need to find the UPI transaction ID on Google pay.

Step 1: First, open Google Pay on your device.
Step 2: Next, scroll down the screen and tap See all payment activity.
Step 3: On all transactions page, tap a transaction to see the UPI transaction ID.
Once the details of the transaction appear, you will see the transaction UPI transaction ID. Any sender or receiver can verify the transaction on the bank statement.

You can use a mobile app to find the account statement for the bank connected to your Google Pay account:
For example, if you are using the SBI Yono app, you can follow these steps.
Step 1: First, open your SBI Yono app.
Step 2: On the homepage, tap Accounts.
Step 3: Next, open transaction details.
Step 4: On the basis of date find that particular transaction.
Now, match the UPI transaction ID found in the Google Pay app to the UPI transaction ID on your bank statement. The UPI transaction ID is the first 9 digits after the slash (/).
You can even match the amount in the debit/credit section of your statement to the amount of the transaction in Google Pay.
