If you want to join the StudyStream WebApp and need a quick and easy guide to follow. Read on to learn about its features and how to make the most out of your experience at StudyStream.

Purpose of the WebApp

The StudyStream WebApp is a platform that includes everything you need to have a successful study session. It’s a community for those who want to chat with other students but it also allows you to stay organized and study in a quiet and calming way, all in one place.

The WebApp is an extension of the Focus Rooms, a place where you can check your streaks and the leaderboards, engage in message-based conversations on multiple channels, make notes and pick the right vibe for your daily study session.

Why you should use the WebApp

The WebApp has a multitude of features and new ones that are currently being tested to improve the user experience. If you are looking for a place to give you the best tools to be a successful student, then the StudyStream WebApp is a great platform for this. The WebApp is easy to use, accessible for everyone, no matter where you are in the world and most importantly, it’s free to use!

Cool features

So what cool features can you expect on the WebApp and how do you use them? Well, first of all, there is the vibes section of the app. Click the house icon on the left-hand side panel to pick from a selection of animated backgrounds including Northern Lights, Ocean, Mountains, Sunset, and more. If you would like to add some ambient noise, click the shapes icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen to pick some music from your linked playlist or an array of different nature sounds, you can pick just one or use the sliders to create a custom soundscape to help you study.

The conversations tab on the left side panel will enable you to chat with community members in a variety of channels including asking for advice, introducing yourself, talking about relationships, or writing out your feelings and thoughts in the random or general channel. The focus room channel is a great way to team up with other students and find a study buddy. Similarly, when you click on the house icon on the left-side panel you have an option to click “Join a room”, so you can go straight into a focus room with other students, it’s that easy!

Another smart feature on the WebApp is The Pomodoro Timer, put this up and select your activity, essay writing, research, or create your own. Then select the amount of time you need to focus and press play, it will alert you when it’s time to take a break. To also stay organized within the StudyStream WebApp, you have a feature to add a note to yourself, use the color-coded sticky notes to write out your to-do list, or make bullet point notes when you are researching or listening to lecture notes. The amazing thing about the StudyStream app is its flexibility and even more features are in the beta stage with designers and will be released soon.
