How to Transfer Money to a Bank Account (2024)

We strongly recommend that you verify your bank account on Venmo before transferring money to it. This helps to ensure that your money arrives successfully. Venmo is not responsible for lost transfers to a bank resulting from incorrectly entered bank credentials.

3. Transfer money to your bank account

Once you've added your bank account and verified it, you can use the Venmo app to send the money in your Venmo account to that bank, using the Standard or Instant method.

Start by going to the Me tab, then tap the Add or Transferbutton under Wallet (some users may see a Manage button instead).  Then, follow these steps to initiate your transfer:

1. Enter or edit the amount you want to transfer to your bank
2. Tap Instant (for a small fee) or 1-3 Biz Days (for no fee), then select the bank account or debit card you want to use for your transfer
3. Confirm your transfer details, then tap the green Transferbutton

You can also transfer money to your bank account if you're using a computer.
