The Weather widget on your Galaxy phone's Home screen is a very useful service that provides weather information. When using the Weather widget, you can always see the weather for the location you set. However, if the Weather widget doesn't show the location you want, you can simply pick a location and display it on the Home screen. Follow the guide below to change the default location of the Weather widget.
Before you try the recommendations below, be sure to check if your device's software and related apps are updated to the latest version. To update your mobile device's software, follow these steps:
Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.
Step 2. Tap on Download and install.
Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
How to add the Weather widget to the Home screen
Most Galaxy devices have a Weather widget that you can use on your Home screen. However, if this widget is not on your home screen or you accidentally removed it, you can add it by following the steps below.
Step 1. Touch and hold an empty spot on the Home screen.
Step 4. Choose the widget style, and then tap Add, and then choose the location.
Step 5. You can see the Weather widget on the Home screen with the selected location.
How to change the Weather widget location
The Weather widget provides weather information for your current location by default. If the location is not the one you want, or if you want to check the weather information for another location, you are able to adjust the location that is shown on the Weather widget. Follow the steps below to adjust the location of your weather service.
Step 3. Find the location you want to add. You may need to accept the terms by tapping OK first.
Step 4. You can see the weather information of the selected location.
Step 5. To see the list of the selected locations, tap on the More options icon (the three vertical lines).
Note:To always display your current location, the GPS location service must be activated on your phone.
How to change the displayed location
You can change the location displayed on the Weather widget. Follow the steps below to set one of the locations you added on the Home screen.
Step 1. Touch and hold the Weather widget, and then select Settings.
Step 2. Tap Change next to the currently selected location.
Step 3. Select a new location to display, and then tap Save.
Step 4. Once you have applied the changes, you will be able to view the weather for the new location you have selected.

Touch and hold the Weather widget on your Home Screen. Tap Edit widget. Tap My Location, then tap the new location you want to display. Note: Location options are generated from your weather list.
Tap App location permissions and make sure the Google app has Allow all the time selected and Use precise location enabled. Although these aren't necessary for the weather app to work, it may help stop showing weather for a location you aren't in.
For Samsung smartphones running Android 10 OS, the location information may appear inaccurate if the GPS signal is obstructed, location settings is disabled, or if you are not using the best location method.
Tap and hold on to any empty area of your home screen. Tap on Widgets. Expand the Pixel Weather widget option and pick your favorite one. Tap and hold on to the widget and drag it to your home screen.
Go to the Weather tab in the main menu.Select the city name at the top of the screen to view the other saved locations or select the + icon to access the Search tab and add a new location to your list.
Note: Weather uses Location Services to get the forecast for your current location. To make sure Location Services is turned on, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Weather.
Go to privacy settings and disable location services for the weather app. Go to your weather application and remove all locations except the one you want to appear on the weather widget. Restart your phone. The widget should get updated.
To make sure Location Services is turned on, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Weather. Turn on Precise Location to increase the accuracy of the forecast in your current location.
On your iPhone, open the Settings app. Scroll down and tap "Weather," then tap "Location." Under "Allow Location Access," select "While Using the App or Widgets." Toggle on the "Precise Location" option.
