How to Send Steam Gift Cards From the Website

You need a Steam account to send someone a digital gift card. Also, the person must be on your friends list for three days before sending the money. Here's how to email a gift card using the Steam website:

Visit the Steam Gift Cards page and select Send a Digital Steam Gift Card.
Select an amount for the digital gift card.
If you're prompted to sign in, log in to your Steam account now. Then, choose who should receive the gift card, and select Continue.
Include a personal message and enter your payment information to complete the purchase. Your digital gift card will be delivered instantly via email.

Purchase Gift Cards From the Steam Client

You can also buy gift cards from the Steam app.

Select the Store tab.
Choose Steam Gift Cards from the left panel.
Follow the same prompts described above for the web version. The process is the same (select Send a Digital Steam Gift Card, etc.).

What Are Steam Digital Gift Cards?
