Want to get your money's worth out of your tape-in extensions? In this video Doc will show you how to reuse your old extensions by re-taping them!
For this tutorial you will need:
- Tape Extensions
- Liquid Gold Remover
- Dishsoap
- Comb
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Super Strong Bonding Tape
- Scissors
- Blow Dryer
Ready? Steady? Go!
Step 1: Comb
Comb through extension hair to remove tangles. Lay extensions on a flat surface, sticky side up.
Step 2: Add Remover
Apply Liquid Gold Remover to the used tabs. Rub remover into the adhesive and allow to sit. Pull any sticky pieces off the tape tabs. Repeat Liquid Gold Remover application as necessary.
Step 3: Add Soap
Apply a drop of Dawn to the tab and rub in to remove the Liquid Gold Remover.Rinse the Dawn from the tabs.
Step 4: Shampoo and Condition
Shampoo and condition the extension hair. Dry extensions thoroughly.
Step 5:
Measure bonding tape slightly wider than the tabs and cut. Pull off bonding tape backing and apply to tab.13. Press them together firmly and cut away the excess tape.
Your extensions are now ready for reapplication!
