How do I delete payment methods? ›

If you have an unpaid balance, you might not be able to remove a payment method. Instead, change your payment method. If you still can't remove a payment method, contact Apple Support.

To stop payment, you need to notify your bank at least three business days before the transaction is scheduled to be made and your bank may charge a fee. The notice to stop the transaction may be made orally or in writing. A bank can require written confirmation of an oral stop payment request.

You can stop recurring payments on a credit card (like utilities, subscription services, or rent) by contacting the service provider directly. The fastest way to do it is online, but you may also be able to do it by phone, in person, or by mail, depending on the service.

Stopping a card payment

You can tell the card issuer by phone, email or letter. Your card issuer has no right to insist that you ask the company taking the payment first. They have to stop the payments if you ask them to. If you ask to stop a payment, the card issuer should investigate each case on its own merit.

If you can't add a payment method

Is your payment method accepted in your country or region? Check what payment methods you can use with your Apple ID. If you're using an accepted payment method but your Apple ID is set to a different country or region, change your country or region.

To stop using Apple Pay remove any card you have in Wallet. To close Apple Cash, make sure there is a zero balance and then go to settings>Wallet & Apple Pay>Apple Cash - turn off.

Call and write the company. Call the company and tell them you are taking away your permission for the company to take automatic payments out of your bank account. The company's customer service should be able to help you, and there might be an online form you can use. Then, follow up by writing a letter or an e-mail.

To stop any reoccurring transaction on your debit card, you must contact the merchant (company) directly to make other payment arrangements. If the transaction has already been authorized (pending) it is unable to be stopped from the Credit Union.

One solution is to send letters revoking your authorization to the subscription company and your bank. Some banks offer ready-made online forms to help you do so. Another way is to give your bank a stop payment order in person, over the phone, or in writing.

You can cancel Apple Music on the web, and cancel Apple TV+ on the web. To cancel other subscriptions billed by Apple, use a Windows PC or Apple device.

Identify all your subscriptions. Check your credit card statements for recurring payments. One easy way to do this is use a subscription tracking tool, such as Rocket Money or OneMain Trim, which finds and then helps you cancel subscriptions you no longer want.

You cannot delete payment transactions from the credit card bank if they were created as a result of paying a credit card statement vendor invoice. Instead, void the check from the bank account bank, which automatically deletes the payment from the credit card bank.
