How many Etsy shops are you allowed to have?

As of Jul 22nd 2024, Etsy Help Center states: “You’re welcome to run multiple shops at once on Etsy”.

Therefore Etsy allows each seller to have more than one shop: there is currently no specific limit on the number of Etsy shops each seller can have.

Opening and managing multiple Etsy shops can be beneficial in many ways, but you need to keep a couple of things in mind.

Can I have 2 Etsy shops under one account?

• No. Each Etsy seller account can be associated with only one Etsy shop, and each Etsy account needs a different email address. Meaning that you need to register for each new Etsy account with a different email address for every additional Etsy shop.
• You can have more than two Etsy stores. In fact, you can have as many as you want, as long as you create different Etsy accounts. We will look into having three or more Etsy accounts at the end of this article.

Keep in mind that sellers who run multiple shops on Etsy are required to list all the shops they run in the Public Profile section of each of their Etsy accounts.

Needless to say, each Etsy account must comply with all of Etsy’s requirements and seller’s policies.

Can you have two Etsy accounts with the same bank account?

Yes. Towards your Etsy seller registration, you can use the same credit card and bank account for both your shops. And actually use the same bank account and credit card on more than 2 Etsy shops.

Can you have multiple Etsy shops under one LLC?

Yes, each company can have multiple Etsy accounts. Therefore you can have multiple shops under one LLC, or under one Corporation (Corp. or Inc.), or really any other type of company.

Can you manage multiple Etsy accounts on the same browser?

Not at the same time, this is one reason why third party apps become handy. Most browsers do not allow users to be signed in to multiple accounts of the same website at the same time, Etsy included. To manage different accounts, if you don’t want to log in and out every time, you may use different browsers or third party app developed by an Etsy official technology partner.

Why have multiple Etsy shops?

Having multiple Etsy shops allows you to multiply products’ presence, reaching more customers without doubling the effort. Your products will appear in more Etsy searches, and be indexed in more external Search Engines.

Having more Etsy shops, allows you to test different shop styles around the same or similar product lines, and different Etsy shop names.

Having multiple shops is also a hedge if anything should happen to one of your stores, such as a bad review. But keep in mind that Etsy will recognize when two or more shops belong to the same owner, and therefore having multiple stores will not protect you if you violate Etsy rules.

Having multiple Etsy shops gives you the opportunity to:

Sell different lines of product or,
Test different prices, titles, SEO tactics, or sales strategies on the same products.

Can I list the same item on two Etsy shops?

Yes, you can list the same items on two or more Etsy shops.
But Etsy does not offer ways to move, copy or transfer information from one Etsy account to another. You will have to recur to third party apps to connect your multiple Etsy stores together.

Many sellers, perhaps yourself, have put a lot of effort into creating their listings, and they don’t want to lose that when duplicating products from one Etsy shop to the others.

When you choose to carry the same products on more than one of your Etsy shops, you also have to:

• Keep inventory aligned on your multiple shops after every sale, to prevent overselling.
• Remember to do the same edits on corresponding listings.

Use third-party apps to manage your multi-shop business on Etsy

No: shipping and return rules are created once in each Etsy store, it is an operation each Etsy seller has to do just once, and therefore there is no need for automatic transfer.

How to link multiple Etsy stores using Nembol

Linking different Etsy accounts together is really easy. All you need to do is to connect both of them to Nembol. Do following (or watch our video):

1. Go to your Channels Tab in Nembol.
2. Click on “Connect channels +” button.
3. Log in your first Etsy account, and wait for it to be ready.
4. Don’t forget to adjust the import and listing settings!
5. Go back to the Channels Tab.
6. Click again on “Connect channels +” button.
7. Log in your second Etsy account.
8. If you have multiple Etsy accounts, repeat this step several times.

How to migrate products from one Etsy shop to another

Transferring your items to your new Etsy account with Nembol is really simple. Follow this procedure:

1. First, connect both your first Etsy account (Etsy 1) and your second one (Etsy 2) to Nembol .
2. Let’s say you want to migrate products from Etsy 1 to Etsy 2.
   Open Etsy 1’s settings in Nembol and set your “Import settings” preferences;
   Open Etsy 2’s settings in Nembol and set your “Publish settings” preferences;
3. Once your channels are both connected, click on the “Get your products” button, and select the Etsy account you want to take the listings from (Etsy 1 in our example)
4. Nembol will import your Etsy 1 listings into your Products Tab.
5. Select the products you want to publish to Etsy 2 (e.g. all of them)
6. Click on the “Publish” button, and then you will be able to choose the channels where you want the products to be published on.
7. Confirm with the Publish button.

How to sync inventory across two Etsy shops

All you need to do if you want to have your inventory automatically synced on all your channels is to turn enable the Quantity Sync towards Nembol on connected channels. You can do this in each cannel’s settings in Nembol.

A few more things you must know about syncing two Etsy stores or more

1. Nembol will show you the diverse usernames to distinguish your first, your second, your third Etsy accounts, and so on.
2. You can similarly log into up to ten eBay accounts and do the same things you do with your multiple Etsy accounts.
3. Nembol is a multi-channel listing software. Because each selling channel has its own fields, requirements, and rules, some product detail may not be available on different channels, or you may be asked to make some adjustments before publishing a product. Similarly, because Nembol migrates thousands of products in bulk, you may need to adjust some information before listing (for example: shop section, shipping profile, when an item was made), or after listing, to ensure your product has the details you want.

The reason for this is to prevent glitches that happen when accounts get disconnected while products are left listed in Nembol.

Bottomline: Can you have more than two Etsy shops?

Yes, you can have more than two Etsy shops. You can have as many as you want, as long as you keep registering with new emails and comply with Etsy rules.
