Visual Experience Composer (VEC)
Mixed content occurs if the initial request is secure over HTTPS, but HTTPS and HTTP content is loaded to display the web page. HTTPS content is secure. HTTP content is insecure.
Modern browsers might block the display of a page or display warning messages if secure content is mixed with insecure content.
A warning message displays if the Visual Experience Composer (VEC) in Adobe Target tries to open a page containing mixed content. This message informs you how to disable blocking in your browser. Disabling blocking lets you open an HTTP site or a site that has mixed content (HTTPS and HTTP).
Previously, when mixed content was not allowed, you could still perform some actions in Step 1 of the three-step guided workflow when creating activities. Target now blocks actions in Step 1. When this message displays, you must enable mixed content before continuing creating the activity.
Your browser’s security settings might block mixed content or insecure (HTTP) content being loaded into a secure (HTTPS) page or frame (such as the VEC). If you don’t want to disable your browser’s security settings, you must have an HTTPS website.
If your website is running on an insecure (HTTP) domain, you are required to allow the VEC to load active mixed content.
IMPORTANT
Allowing mixed content affects the VEC only and not your live website.
For more information, see Mixed Content on the Mozilla Developer Network (MDN) website.

If you’re visiting a site via a secure connection, Chrome verifies that the content on the web page has been transmitted safely.
If you are using the VEC with the latest version of Chrome (version 79.0.3945.117 or later), you must update your site settings. Visitors to your site do not need to complete these steps.
Click the lock (caution) icon, then click Site settings.
Scroll to Insecure content, then use the drop-down list to change “Block (default)” to “Allow.”

By default, Firebox blocks pages that mix secure and insecure content. You should permanently change this setting to use Target. Visitors to your site do not need to complete these steps.
In Firefox, enter about:config in the address bar.
Acknowledge the warning message displayed by Firefox.
The value changes from “True” to “False.” When the value shows “False,” you are finished.
Restart your computer after changing this setting.
Enabling mixed content in Microsoft Edge
If you’re visiting a site via a secure connection, Edge verifies that the content on the web page has been transmitted safely.
If you are using the VEC with the latest version of Edge, you must update your site settings. Visitors to your site do not need to complete these steps.
In Edge, click Microsoft Edge in the menu bar, Settings, then click Cookies and Site Permissions.
Scroll to Insecure content.
Click Insecure content, then click Add next to Allow, add the site on which to allow insecure content, then click Add.
Right-click the Google Chrome desktop icon (or Start Menu link). Select Properties. At the end of the existing information in the Target field, add: " --allow-running-insecure-content" (There is a space before the first dash.) Click OK.
Right-click the Google Chrome desktop icon (or Start Menu link). Select Properties. At the end of the existing information in the Target field, add: " --allow-running-insecure-content" (There is a space before the first dash.) Click OK.
Step 1: Click the lock or caution settings in the URL, then click settings.Step 2: Scroll down to the insecure content option, then change the “Block (default)” to “Allow”.Step 3: Reload page. This will allow blocked mixed content in Chrome.
If using resource on other sites use HTTPS versions, if available. Most sites provide HTTPS versions of shared resources. Often the easiest approach is to replace all http:// links with https:// and then use tools such as linkchecker to verify that the links all work.
From the drop-down list, select “Permissions for this site”. Scroll down and find “Insecure content.” Click its drop-down list to change “Block (default)” to “Allow”. Refresh the page to apply the updated permissions for that page.
Go to the Google search preferences page and find the address under “resources”.See “Safe Search filters”.There is a slider to turn the filter off that reads “No filtering”.
The HTTP Content-Security-Policy (CSP) block-all-mixed-content directive prevents loading any assets over HTTP when the page uses HTTPS. All mixed content resource requests are blocked, including both blockable and upgradable mixed content.
When an HTTPS website references insecure (HTTP) resources, this is called mixed content. Browsers prevent an HTTPS website from loading most insecure resources, like fonts, scripts, etc. Migrating an existing website from HTTP to HTTPS means identifying and fixing or replacing mixed content.
To control DRM and content protections, go to edge://settings/content/protectedContent . Toggle the Allow sites to play protected content (recommended) and Allow identifiers for protected content (computer restart may be required) settings.
To allow insecure content on individual sites within Chrome, click on the lock icon in the URL bar, then click 'Site settings'.There you will see a list of various permissions the page has.Choose 'Allow' next to 'Insecure content'.
