How to completely delete a certificate from a user of Windows 10. - Microsoft Q&A (2024)

Hello.
Thank you for your advice.

The standard way to delete the certificate would be to check the installed certificates using the command certmgr.msc and delete it from the list.

I tried this, but unfortunately, as well as the removal method I was doing, the Subject Key stored in the path below was left.
%APPDATA%\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\My\Keys\

For now, I'm using a method of directly deleting the Subject Key file in this folder associated with the certificate being deleted as an operation in Explorer.
I don't know if this is a better way, but I don't see any anomalies after deletion so far.

If there is a safer and more standard way, I would like to know it, but it is also certain that it is not urgent.

I also tried referring to the registry editor that you taught me.
I thought it would be more risky to work directly with this, so I'm not looking for a way to remove it by editing the registry editor, I'm going only for reference.
