How to deposit to CEX.IO with Skrill
To deposit funds from Skrill to CEX.IO, you first need to make sure that both your Skrill and CEX.IO accounts use the same email address. You cannot make a transfer if the two accounts are registered under different email addresses.
You need to follow a separate set of steps on both CEX.IO and Skrill to complete a currency transfer:

- Click on the green Deposit button on the right top corner of your CEX.IO homepage,
- Choose the fiat currency you would like to deposit – USD, EUR, or GBP located on the right-hand side of the next page,
- Enter the amount you would like to deposit,
- Click on the Skrill button as your deposit payment method,
- Choose the country where your Skrill account is registered and click Proceed.
You will then receive an email to your inbox with the subject, Successful Deposit Request which gives you instructions to follow on Skrill.
Steps you need to follow on Skrill
- On your Skrill account, select the Skrill to Skrill option,
- Enter the provided in the email message (the below recipient email address screenshot is a sample),
- Enter the exact currency amount that you have entered on the CEX.IO Deposit page,
- Click Add A Message to request a transfer,
- Enter the order number in the email message into the Comment section.
Funds will be deposited to your CEX.IO account on the same day that you confirm the transfer.
Please note that Skrill transfers from other parties are not accepted, and only your Skrill account can deposit to your CEX.IO account.
How to buy cryptocurrency on CEX.IO
CEX.IO has a platform. Once you receive the fiat currency funds from your Skrill wallet, you can go buy cryptocurrency on our platform.
To buy cryptocurrency on the CEX.IO exchange, you need to click on the green Spot Trading button on the left top corner of your CEX.IO homepage, right next to the CEX.IO logo. In the dropdown menu that pops out, click on Spot Trading under the For Traders list.
CEX.IO supports over 100 cryptocurrencies on its exchange, which include major coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, and XRP, as well as many of the recently popular projects like Avalanche (AVAX), Terra (LUNA), Apecoin (APE), and Fantom (FTM).
When you go to the CEX.IO spot trading page, the currency pairs list on the left-hand side shows you all cryptocurrency prices.
There are 112 different crypto/USD trading pairs, 28 EUR currency pairs, and 19 GBP pairs on CEX.IO. As you can see, most of the cryptocurrencies are traded with USD in terms of fiat currency pairs, so you would need to convert your EUR or GBP if you want to buy crypto on CEX.IO that is traded with USD only.
The easiest way to convert EUR and GBP is to buy the USDT stablecoin, since almost all USD trading pairs also have an available USDT trading pair on CEX.IO. To do that, you need to click on the Fiat tab, which is located on top of the currency pairs menu (boxed in red in the image below).
On the Fiat tab, you need to find the USDT/EUR or USDT/GBP pairs (boxed in blue in the image above) to sell your Euro or Sterling funds to USDT.
To buy cryptocurrency on CEX.IO, you have the option to give either a limit or a market order.
How to buy Bitcoin on CEX.IO
If for example, you would like to buy Bitcoin with USD, you need to click on the USD button on top of the currency pairs menu and find btc to usd pair.
Once you are on the BTC/USD trading page, you need to scroll down and find the Limit and Market tabs. You can choose Market if you would like to buy Bitcoin at the immediately available price. All you need to do is enter the USD amount you want to buy in the USD to Spend field, then press Buy Now.

You follow the identical steps when you want to sell Bitcoin. If you want to sell your Bitcoin at the immediately available price, you can go to the Market tab. If you would like to sell it for a higher price later, then you may go to the Limit tab to submit a limit sell order.

Fees and Limits
There is a flat fee of 3.99% to deposit funds from Skrill. The minimum amount you can transfer is 35, and the maximum daily amount is 10,000 for each of the three available fiat currencies.
The fee for withdrawing funds to your Skrill account is 1%, regardless of the transaction size.

Supported countries

Withdrawal to Skrill
To withdraw funds from CEX.IO back to your Skrill wallet, you can simply follow the below steps:
- Click on the Withdraw button on the right top corner of your CEX.IO homepage,
- Choose USD, EUR, or GBP as the currency to withdraw,
- Enter the amount you would like to withdraw,
- Click on the Skrill box as the payment option,
- Click on the Withdraw button after selecting the “I have been notified” box,
- Confirm the operation with a 2FA code
Finally, again make sure that the email address of your CEX.IO account matches with the email address associated with your Skrill account, then click Withdraw.
