Instagram users can now buy the coveted blue check for their accounts, but like Twitter Blue, a Meta Verified subscription will require a monthly payment. Apart from a blue check, Meta Verified subscribers will get account support from a real person and active monitoring for impersonation, meaning they won't have to worry about losing access to their account. Additionally, subscribers get access to exclusive stickers for Instagram Stories.
For those who want to buy a blue check on Instagram, Meta charges a hefty price of $14.99 per month if subscribing from an iPhone or Android phone. Those who subscribe through the web will pay a lower fee of $11.99 per month since this method avoids app store fees. It's important to note that users will need to pay separately for Facebook verification. This means that if a user wants a blue check on both Instagram and Facebook, they'll need to subscribe separately for each app, bringing the total cost to $30 a month.

How To Buy A Blue Check On Instagram
If users decide to buy a blue check on Instagram, they will first need to go to their profile. Users should see the option to subscribe to Meta Verified at the top. Tap on 'Subscribe.' Alternatively, they can go to their profile, tap the three-line hamburger icon in the top right corner and tap 'Settings.' Scroll down to 'Accounts Center' and select 'Meta Verified.' If the subscription is available for the account, users will see 'Meta Verified available' next to their name and profile picture. Tap on the Instagram profile and then select 'Subscribe.' Tap on 'Pay Now,' select a preferred payment method, and tap 'Subscribe' again.
Once that's done, users will need to confirm their identity to begin the verification process. This needs to be done within three days of making the payment. To do this, tap the Instagram profile in Accounts Center and then select 'Confirm your identity.' Update the name, tap 'Save' and then select the type of government ID being used. Tap 'Take Photo' to capture an image of the ID. Tap 'Submit' if the photo looks fine, or 'Retake' if it's unclear. Wait for the photo to upload and tap 'Finish.' Once Meta completes verification, users will get a blue check on Instagram and the associated benefits with Meta Verified.
Meta usually takes up to 48 hours to verify an Instagram account. If an account isn't verified, Meta will refund the payment, unless users reapply for verification. Instagram notes that for an account to get the blue check, it must be a public or private individual profile (businesses aren't supported at the moment). It should also have a profile picture that shows the user's face, have two-factor authentication enabled, meet minimum posting requirements, and have a valid government-issued ID that matches the name and profile picture on the Instagram account.
