One time on a project I was working on a client was experiencing auth failures and we combed through the wired and wireless network looking at RSSI, SNR, and interference on 2.4 & 5 GHz, latency, and PCAP, AAA..etc Come to find out there was a software bug on the cloud wireless solution and once we upgraded to the new software the auth issues cleared.

As per my experience, placing the router in the central location and sufficient height helps the router to be more efficient in spreading the Wireless signal across the premises. Another thing to do is, antenna placement, most consumer routers today have at least 2 antenna whose direction can be changed to improve the WiFi transmission.Using a WiFi analyser, one can further enhance the WiFi signal by selecting the least crowded WiFi channel.Using the latest WiFi router such as WiFi 6/6e and 7 at the time of writing this can help improve the signal strength as the newer routers can carry more data for the signal transmitted, additionally removing other electronic devices, metals and objects in front of the router helps improve the WiFi
