Forbes has recently unveiled its prestigious ‘World’s Billionaires’ list for 2024, showcasing a notable surge in the representation of Indian billionaires. This year’s list welcomes a total of 25 newcomers from India, marking a significant addition to the global roster of affluent individuals.
The latest iteration of the list reveals a remarkable milestone for India, with the total count of Indian billionaires now standing at 200, a substantial increase from the 169 individuals featured last year. Together, these Indian billionaires command an impressive collective wealth of $954 billion, marking a remarkable 41% surge from the previous year’s total wealth of $675 billion held by 169 billionaires.
