If you're making a soup or stew with broth and adding in various other ingredients like meat, vegetables, and seasonings, then one teaspoon of bouillon per two cups of water is more than suitable.

Better Than Bouillon is a paste of concentrated flavors made from real food that you dissolve in boiling water or other liquid -- one teaspoon of paste to one cup of hot liquid -- to create a broth.

Better Than Bouillon is a concentrated paste made of cooked meat or vegetables that you dilute with boiling water in whatever quantity you'd like, and it can stay good for months in the fridge.

Better Than Bouillon bases are not considered ready to eat. All of our bases must be dissolved in warm or boiling water or cooked with heat in order to be considered safe for consumption.

Better Than Bouillon has a shelf life of approximately two years starting from the date of manufacture if properly refrigerated after opening. That's approximately two years longer than the usual 3-4-day lifespan of canned or boxed broth in the fridge once opened.

One bouillon cube or a teaspoon of bouillon powder can be dissolved in one cup of boiling water to make one cup of broth. You can also melt bouillon cubes or powder directly into soups, stews, sauces and curries to enhance their flavour and create a thicker consistency.

Since the ingredients include ground meat and vegetables, Better than Bouillon must be stored in the refrigerator. But don't worry that it will go bad quickly — it has about an 18-month shelf life from the time it's opened.

A teaspoon of concentrate packs the flavor of a full cup of broth, and that same spoonful will bring full, rich flavor to a cup of gravy. You can stir the concentrate into hot water to make broth, or whisk water into your roux and then add the concentrate to your pan.

Rub a whole chicken or chicken pieces with Better Than Bouillon® Roasted Chicken Base, then brush with your favorite barbecue sauce for zesty grilled chicken every time.

To do this, place a small amount, at least a tablespoon, of hot liquid into a small bowl. Add the Better than Bouillon and allow mixture to stand for a minute. Then, stir to combine until no large clumps of Better than Bouillon remain before adding the dissolved base into recipe.

If you have granules, it's usually 1 teaspoon of granules to 1 cup boiling water. If you have square cubes, they're usually 1 cube per cup of boiling water. If you have larger, rectangular cubes, those are usually 1 cube per 2 cups boiling water. That said, check the label to make sure.

However, one bouillon cube or 1 teaspoon of granules dissolved in 1 cup of boiling water may be substituted for 1 cup of broth in any recipe.

A cup of chicken broth is 8 ounces. Sixteen ounces would be two cups.

Simply replace the amount of other liquid in your recipe with chicken broth. For example, if the recipe calls for one bouillon cube and one cup of water, replace the bouillon cube and water with one cup of chicken broth.
