Hi all, I recently created a gmail account but having the important folder is driving me crazy as you can’t control which messages end up in it. I’ve tried hiding it but that didn’t work, is there any other way to get rid of it? Using latest versions of JAWS and Windows 11 and I use Outlook to access the account but I tried to do the hide on the gmail web interface. It can safely be ignored. If you're reading your inbox, you're reading anything marked as important there. The label is just a convenience. If you want to hide that label, you can in the Gmail settings specifically for Labels. You can hide virtually anything but inbox and sent.

It can't be removed, but you can go to Settings->Labels and set it to "hide", then just ignore it. It doesn't hurt anything.
