Login to Your Educative and GitHub
In the same browser, log in to your Educative and GitHub accounts. If you don’t have a GitHub account, create one using your school email. If your existing GitHub account is not linked to your school, go to your GitHub account settings and add your school email as a secondary email.

Navigate to “GitHub Student Developer Pack” Page
Navigate to the “GitHub Student Developer Pack” page. Click the “Sign up for Student Developer Pack” button. This will open a student benefits application.

Fill Out the Student Benefits Form
Fill out the student benefits application. Make sure to turn your location settings on because this will increase your chances of approval. GitHub will ask you for your email address, school name, and how you plan to use GitHub.

Upload Proof of Your Academic Status
GitHub needs proof of your current academic status. For verification, upload and submit a picture of either your student ID or another form of proof. GitHub can take any amount of time between 1 hour to 30 days to process your application. You can check the status of your application on your GitHub account page.

Once your application has been approved, click the button below to claim the offer.
Frequently asked questions
I can't access courses in my student pack?
Verifying your GitHub Student status might take some time to get approved by GitHub. Once it is approved, press the "Claim Offer" button above and the scholarship will be automatically applied to your account. You can find the GitHub pack courses in the "My Courses tab".
How do I qualify for Educative’s offer in theGitHub Student Developer Pack?
If you’re part of the GitHub Student Developer Pack, then all you have to do is create an Educative account (if you don’t have one already), and verify yourStudentstatus through GitHub by pressing the "Claim Offer" button above. Then the offer will be automatically applied to your account.
Do I need a credit card to redeem the offer?
Nope! We don't ask for payment information unless you purchase additional Educative products.
I already have an Educative account. Can I upgrade it?
