Budget Builder
The second Foundation is Get Out of Debt. If you don’t have any debt, that’s great! You get to control where and how all of your money is saved or spent. Enjoy that freedom and make a commitment to stay out of debt! If you do have debt, make paying it off a priority so you too can start controlling all of your income.
Instructions: Whether it’s a credit card, a car loan or even a loan from a friend or your parents, write your debt in your budget in the Debts category and throw as much money at it as you can until it’s paid off.
Note: If you have more than one debt, be sure to use the debt snowball method explained in Chapter 4, Section 2 of your student text.
