PRODUCERS of hit teen drama ‘skins’ have confirmed that the show will end with three reunion episodes, following three former characters in the adult world.
Three characters will return to give viewers a glimpse into their adult lives – Kaya Scodelario (Effy), Jack O’Connell (Cook) and Hannah Murray (Cassie).
It is also believed that many of the other cast members from the seven series of the show will make guest appearances in the three episodes.
The first episode will follow Effy, who will be working in a dodgy financial firm while having an affair with her boss.
The second episode of the finale will follow hot head Cook, who has become mixed up in the murky world of drug dealing.
Finally the third and final ever episode of the show will follow Cassie, one of the most popular characters from the original cast, as she grapples with loneliness and isolation.
The E4 drama became a huge hit thanks its real representation of emotional teenage issues against a back drop of over the top alcohol and drug fuelled partying.
Critics praised and slammed in equal measure – many critics praising how it handled emotional and thorny storylines, with many parents groups angry at its glamorising of drug and alcohol use.
The show changed cast every two series in order to keep the age of the characters young and give the producers a chance to pursue new storylines.
It is not known how many of the former cast members will return to the series, which has helped launch the career of Nicholas Hoult, Dev Patel and Mitch Hewer.
