What is an Associate Track?
These tracks offer an introductory understanding of key federal financial management focus areas to professionals newer to their roles. Learners are required to attend the three Core courses in a specific focus area to earn a certificate.
What is a Master Track?
These tracks provide a thorough understanding of key federal financial management focus areas and require learners to take three Core courses, two Skills for Professional Growth courses, and three Area-Specific courses or additional Electives of Interest courses.

Certificate Program FAQs
When will I receive my certificate of completion after I complete the Certificate Program?
Certificate Program certificates are sent within 4 to 6 weeks of completing the last course in the program.
How do I enroll in a Certificate Program?
To enroll in a Certificate Program, you must:
- Submit a Letter of Intent for your chosen program.
- Select the class and delivery method that best suits your schedule.
- Enroll in that class—either online or by contacting our customer service team at 888.545.8571 or [emailprotected].
What is the cost to complete a Certificate Program?
There is no additional cost to complete a Certificate Program aside from the initial cost of the courses. To receive a multi-course discount, you may sign up for a Certificate Program Account.
Do I need to sign up for a Certificate Program prior to attending classes?
No, you do not. If you have taken classes and discover that they are part of a Certificate Program you wish to enroll in, you can sign up by submitting a Letter of Intent. However, you will only have 3 years from the start date of your first class to complete the program.
How long do I have to complete a Certificate Program?
You must complete all required Certificate Program courses within 3 years of completion of the first program course.
Can I enroll in multiple Certificate Programs?
Yes, you can enroll in multiple Certificate Programs at once.
Can I extend the deadline for Certificate Program completion?
While we have a 3-year time limit for program completion, the duration of the program can be extended for extenuating circ*mstances on a case-by-case basis. Reach out to our customer service team at 888.545.8571 or [emailprotected] to address this issue.
What is the recommended order in which to take courses?
With the exception of the Grants Management Certificate Program (for which the order is listed on the individual Certificate Program page) we do not require the courses to be taken in any order.
Can I substitute a different course for a core or elective course?

Can I apply courses I have taken from another training provider to my Management Concepts Certificate Program?
Management Concepts will consider a request to transfer credit from another training provider on a case-by-case basis for one course per certificate track.
If my organization contracts with Management Concepts for a Private Group Training version of a course, can I receive Certificate Program credit?
Yes, but only if the course is conducted in its entirety, you fully attend, and you pass the final exam (if applicable). If your organization purchases an abbreviated version of the course or substitutes material, you may not receive credit for the course.
