+ What VPN protocols do you support?
PrivateVPN offers the latest security and connectivity protocols including AnyConnect, IKEv2, IPSec, OpenVPN and WireGuard. We also offer L2TP and PPTP for older devices.
+ Why can’t I connect from China?
OpenVPN and, in some cases, L2TP are blocked by the Great Firewall. If you are connecting from China, please use SSL VPN.
+ Does VPN slow my Internet connection?
While any VPN service can slow down your connection, the difference is so minor that you probably won’t notice it. Plus, using PrivateVPN may increase your speed because unlike an ISP that throttles certain types of traffic, we never restrict traffic.
