- From Vienna Schwechat International Airport,take the A4 (Eastern Motorway) following signs to Vienna (“Wien”), then take the A23 (Southeast Tangent) following signs to Graz, and finally take the Altmannsdorf exit and follow signs Schönbrunn Palace (“Schloß Schönbrunn”)
- From the A2(Southern Motorway), drive towards the centre as far as Altmannsdorf exit and follow signs to Schönbrunn Palace ("Schloss Schönbrunn").
- From the A1(Western Motorway), follow directions to the centre as far as the Palace at Schönbrunner Schloßstraße 47.
You will find an ATM on the left in front of the Group Center.
The Group Center offers free lockers. You need a 4-digit code to lock and unlock your locker.
You will find a barrier-free toilet and a baby changing room in the Group Center. Please ask the staff, who will be happy to help you.
Unfortunately, dogs cannot be taken into either the Palace or the Park.
Unfortunately, bicycles cannot be taken into the Park.
No. The use of drones or other remote-controlled aircraft is prohibited on the grounds of Schönbrunn Palace.
Yes. During opening hours, filming and photography is generally permitted in the state rooms.
The use of tripods, selfie sticks or similar photographic or video equipment is prohibited at the Palace, as is the use of flash and similar forms of lighting. Any photos or videos taken may only be used for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You need a permit for current reporting, documentaries, photo shoots and film projects. Please contact the film and photo team at least 3 weeks before your planned project start.
All film and photo recordings at the Schönbrunn Group’s locations require a permit. Use our film and photo request form for this purpose (please inform us of your project at least 3 weeks before the planned start).
Photographs of the Schönbrunn site may not be marketed and sold via commercial picture agencies. Advertising films and photos, and presentations of any kind (cars, fashion, …) only on request.

The Schönbrunn site is private property subject to Park regulations. In the Park regulations and on our website it is expressly made clear that commercial filming and photography, in particular advertising recordings and presentations of any kind, are prohibited in the Schönbrunn Palace site.

Yes. Photos for private purposes can be taken in the Palace Park without prior notification and free of charge. However, no photography is permitted in the Palace.
Driving into the Park area is unfortunately not permitted.

The Palace (including the Children's Museum Schönbrunn Palace on the ground floor) can be visited without barriers by wheelchair users. A lift will take you to the display rooms on the first floor (please inform the person at the turnstile).
There are 3 parking spaces for handicapped persons at the main gate (Schönbrunner Schloßstrasse).

We make audioguides available free of charge to our guests in 16 languages, and provide written descriptions in 21 languages. The visitors are given the audioguides after the turnstiles.

You can enter the Palace Park free of charge during opening hours. If you wish to visit to the Schönbrunn special attractions, such as the Privy Garden, the Orangery Garden or the Maze, you need to purchase individual admission tickets.
