Weapons in Fallout 4 are as diverse as the enemies you encounter in the Wasteland, so it's no surprise that you can wield everything from missile launchers to swords. Everybody has a specific weapon type that they prefer or, at the very least, a weapon type that pairs nicely with their build.

The Gatling Laser is one of the strongest heavy weapons in Fallout 4, and although it's fairly difficult to obtain compared to other weapons, it's worth the extra work due to its high damage. Below you can find out everything about the Gatling Laser and each of the best ways to get it.
How Powerful Is The Gatling Laser?
Gatling Lasers are a powerful type of heavy weapon that you can encounter in Fallout 4 and its expansion packs. It deals 14 base damage per shot, and although that may seem low on the surface, its fire rate of 272 more than makes up for this stat. Gatling Lasers are essentially an energy version of the Minigun, but they run off of Fusion Cores instead of standard ammo.
How To Get A Gatling Laser
There are many locations and quests that grant you a Gatling Laser. Additionally, there are two unique Gatling Lasers in Fallout 4 that offer special effects.
Defeat Brotherhood Of Steel Soldiers
Various Brotherhood Of Steel soldiers in the Commonwealth carry Gatling Lasers as their primary weapons. You can encounter these soldiers in various locations, but they're particularly common at the Boston Airport on the eastern shore of the Commonwealth, even before you possibly destroy it alongside the Institute. Knights and Paladins are the Brotherhood Of Steel soldiers that carry Gatling Lasers.
Buy It From Proctor Teagan
Upon joining the Brotherhood Of Steel, you'll have access to the merchant known as Proctor Teagan. Proctor Teagan resides at the far side of the Prydwen's interior, so you can find him quite easily. He often sells a Gatling Laser, but the price will depend on how much you dedicate to the Charisma stat and its perks. You can join the Brotherhood Of Steel by completing the "Call To Arms" quest.
Final Judgement
Final Judgment is a unique Gatling Laser that reloads 15 percent faster and has a 25 percent faster fire rate. It's one of the strongest weapons in Fallout 4, but it's unfortunately also one of the hardest unique weapons to acquire. You can only get Final Judgment by looting the corpse of Elder Maxson during The Nuclear Option, Airship Down, Ad Victoriam, and Rockets' Red Glare.
All of these quests involve the Brotherhood making a last stand against one of the other factions in the Commonwealth. You have to kill Elder Maxson and take the Final Judgment from him, but unfortunately, it's often too difficult to find his body in a sea of others, so it's a difficult weapon to get.
To start each of these quests, you need to join either the Minutemen, the Railroad, the Institute, or the Brotherhood Of Steel and continue with their questlines.
Aeternus
Aeternus is a legendary Gatling Laser in the Nuka-World DLC. Its legendary effect takes away the necessity to reload it, meaning you can effectively fire this weapon forever, and the fusion core won't deplete in charge.
You can get Aeternus as a possible reward for completing the Amoral Combat quest in Nuka-World, which you may need to repeat until you encounter the Rogue Knight, who carries the weapon. Talk to Fritsch in the Nuka-Cade to start this side quest.
